Sonia Marie Baudoin (Matte)
Rayne—Funeral services for Sonia Marie Matte Baudoin, 45, of Mire will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne. Deacon Dan Besse will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne. A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Baudoin passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 7:07 A.M. in a Crowley hospital.
A native of Eunice, Mrs. Baudoin had lived in Mire for many years. She loved the outdoors, and she hunted, fished, camped, and rode four-wheelers every chance she got. She enjoyed watching movies and reading. Her greatest joy in life was spending quiet time with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Mitchell P. Baudoin of Mire; daughters, Shyelah Baudoin of Mire, Melanie Baudoin of Mire, and Sidney Baudoin of Mire; father, Hubert Matte and wife, Barbara of Crowley; mother, Patricia Thibodeaux of Mire; brothers, John Alvin Matte and wife, Tonya Sullivan of Eunice, Dallas Roy Matte and fiancé, Michelle of Mire, and Keith Gabriel Smith and fiancé Sarah Forestier of Mire; grandchild, Everitt Suire of Mire; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is also survived by her loving animal companion, Sterlin.
Preceding Mrs. Baudoin in death was her step-father, Ronnie Thibodeaux.
