Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home, LLC in Crowley for James Lee Istre, 69 who passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at his home in Crowley.
Pastor Berl Adams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Istre Cemetery in Mermentau Cove.
The family is requesting visitation to be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
Survivors include three sisters, Lorita Guidry of Lyons Point, Juanita Kelbaugh of Thurmont, MD. and Shelia Arceneaux of Welsh; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Istre was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Istre; three brothers, Huey Istre, Richard Istre, and Michael Istre, one sister, Helen Saucier.
