Robert Aaron Perry Sr.
Crowley—Funeral services for Robert Aaron Perry, Sr., 62, of Crowley will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Crowley. Reverend Loyd Singley, Senior Pastor of Northside Assembly of God, will officiate. Interment will follow in North Hanks Cemetery, Crowley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in Duhon Funeral Home, Crowley.
Mr. Perry passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 7:16 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native of Crowley, Mr. Perry was a faithful member of Northside Assembly of God. He loved the Lord, and he worked hard to share the Gospel with as many people as he could. He was founder and pastor of Christ Amania Ministries, and he was active in prison ministry.
Mr. Perry was a wrestling fan, and his favorite wrestler was Hulk Hogan. He enjoyed painting and playing guitar, and his green thumb was such that it was said he could plant a twig and it would grow. Mr. Perry’s greatest joy in life was spending time with and caring for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Norma Breaux Perry of Crowley; daughters, Arettia Broussard and husband, Richard of Kountze, TX, Tammy Shutter and husband, Michael of Woodville, TX, Laura Morse and husband, Aaron of Spring, TX, and Kelly LeJeune and husband, Barry of Crowley; son, Robert A. Perry, Jr. and wife, Mary of Groves, TX; sisters, Patricia Hanks of Bowling Green, KY, and Virginia Duhon of Austin, TX; brothers, Michael Duhon and wife, Joan of Bowling Green, KY, and James Lee Duhon of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Hanna, Cassie, and Sophia-Grace Broussard, Tristian, Aaron, and Samantha Shutter, Samantha Leger, Megan, Hayden, Kylie, and Leah Morse, Brendon Sheridan, Baby Isaac Morse, Heather Perry, Hunter Trahan, Kenslie LeJeune, and Madison, Bailey, and Alexander Perry; great-grandchild, Ashlynn Wells; and special nephew, Miguel Encinas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Mr. Perry in death were his parents, Aaron A. Perry, Sr., Arettia Doucet Perry, John Vernice Duhon, and Johnnie Rae Williams; and brothers, Aaron A. Perry, Jr. and John Vernice Perry.
Serving as pallbearers are Tristian Shutter, Aaron Shutter, Bailey Perry, Alexander Perry, Brendon Sheridan, Hayden Morse, Hunter Trahan, and Miguel Encinas.
