Clara Bell Leger (Hollier)
Rayne—A Mass of Christian Burial for Clara Bell Hollier Leger, 69, of Rayne will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Samuel Fontana will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery, Mire.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Leger passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native and longtime resident of Broussard, Mrs. Leger had lived in Rayne for the past seven years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Leger enjoyed cooking for her family, and she enjoyed crafts. Her greatest joy in life was being with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Harold J. Leger of Rayne; daughters, Michelle Chaisson and husband, John of Breaux Bridge, Connie Henry and husband, Ryan of Rayne, and Mona Leger and companion Casey Gilbert of Lafayette; son, Bryan Leger of Rayne; sister, Juanita Hollier Girard of Lafayette; grandchildren, Andrea Nicolle, Donald Chaisson, Tori Thibodeaux, Shea Arceneaux, Laynee Thibodeaux, Collin Thibodeaux, Zay’Lyn Henry, Brittney Dore, Skyler Dore, Te’yah Senegal, Brannon Leger, and Jade Leger; and great-grandchildren, Norah Nicolle, Leihum Dore, J.C. Dore, and Brooklyn Averette.
Preceding Mrs. Leger in death were her parents, Love P. Hollier and Louise Girlie Gaspard Hollier; and sister, Mildred Ann Hollier.
Serving as pallbearers are Skyler Dore, Collin Thibodeaux, Shea Arceneaux, Bryan Leger, Brannon Leger, Eddie Pourcio, Casey Gilbert, and Zay’Lyn Henry.
