Howard Pierre
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA, for Howard Pierre, 86, who departed this earth Friday, at 9:12p.m. on August 15, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital.
Very Rev. Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery Mausoleum in Church Point.
Howard Pierre was born November 18, 1927 in Bristol, Louisiana. He was the last surviving child of the late Alex Pierre and Rosa Carter Pierre.
Howard leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 58 years, Janice Mae Savoy Pierre, children Monica Pierre and husband Paul Dauphin (New Orleans, LA), Sharon Pierre (Spring, TX), Carolyn Pierre (Branch, LA), Lionel and wife Ericka Pierre (Bossier City, LA) and Patricia Pierre Hall (Houston, TX). He also leaves his loving grandchildren Sydney, Sy’Mone, Nicolas and Thomas Pierre, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, at 10:00 in the morning in the Funeral Home Chapel.
