Church Point- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Isaac Dale Breaux, 85, at 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA with Very Rev. Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point, LA on Monday, September 1, 2014 beginning at 2:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 8:00AM until just prior to time of service. Interment will follow the church service at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery Hwy 35 (New). Mr. Breaux passed away suddenly at his home in Church Point, LA on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
A long time resident of Church Point, LA, Dale was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Freeport-McMoran as a cook with 30 years of service at age 55. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, watching football and gardening. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Breaux is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Thelma Brasseaux Breaux of Church Point, LA; daughter, Loretta O’Neill and her husband, Charles of Houston, TX; son, Ronald Breaux and his wife, Mary of Erath, LA; step sons, Steve Joseph Lavergne of San Antonio, TX, Larry Joseph Lavergne of Church Point, LA and Harry Joseph Lavergne of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Relda Broussard and her husband, Hayes of Leroy, LA, Norma Landry and her husband, Paul of Leroy, LA and Agnell Broussard of Maurice, LA; granddaughters, Samantha Breaux and Brittany Sharon; great-granddaughter, Ava Garcia and one sister-in-law Melba Breaux of Leroy, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andre Breaux and Melanie Trahan Breaux; step-mother, Edely Breaux; step-son, Michael Paul Lavergne; brother, Chester Breaux and one brother-in-law, Manning Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Cody Lavergne, Tim Broussard, Kent Broussard, Richard Brasseaux, Jimmy Tate and Michael Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Joseph Lavergne, Harry Joseph Lavergne and Lolley Andrepont.
