Obituary for
Dean Alvin Richard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Richard, La. for Dean Alvin Richard, 65, who passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 5:25 p.m. at the home of his sisters in Church Point.
Fr. Wayne Duet, Pastor of St. Edwards Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family is requesting the visitation to be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 on Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula and husband, Kim Cormier of Church Point; one son Dean Edmond and wife, Desiree Richard of Opelousas; five sisters, Anna LeLeaux of Church Point, Theresa Olivier of Church Point, Elaine Carriere of Church Point, Earline Doucet of Church Point and Angela Middlebrooks of Richard; two brothers, John Dale Richard and Lonnie Richard both of Richard; six grandchildren, Brad Thibodeaux, Zachary and Annie Cormier, Brody Prudhomme, Blaire and Victoria Richard; and one great-grand-daughter, Brylee Toucheck.
Dean was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Goodwin; his parents, Elvin and Mary Alice Richard; one sister, Charlene Richard and one brother, Gene Richard.
