Obituary for
Frances Cooper (Duhon)
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Frances D. Cooper, 69, who passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:35 p.m. at her son’s home in Basile.
Fr. Samuel Fontana, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne will officiate for the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 6 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services.
Survivors include two sons, Shane and wife, Melissa Cooper of Basile and Jody Cooper of Sunset; one daughter, Leta and husband, Jim Dawson of Leesburg, FL; two sisters, Linda Istre of Rayne and Lisa Richard of Mermentau Cove; four grandchildren, Chelsea Cooper, Chase Cooper, Justin Dawson, Amber White; one great-grandson, Ayden Cooper.
Ms. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James Cooper; her parents, Watson and Addie Duhon; one sister, Barbara Clubb and two brothers, Richard Duhon and Wallace Duhon.
