Obituary for
Virgie Robinson (Prejean)
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church for Virgie P. Robinson, 77, who passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at 8:20 a.m. at Encore Health Care and Rehabilitation in Crowley.
Brother Chris Campo, Pastor of Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Maxie Cemetery in Maxie, La.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Then visitation will resume on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer and husband, Ricky James Smith of Crowley; three sons, Floyd David and wife, Camille “CC” Belsom Robinson of Crowley, Rickey Dale and wife, Madge “Tonie” Young Robinson of Crowley, Mark Anthony and wife, Melinda V. Robinson of Rayne; one daughter-in-law, Lina Kibodeaux Robinson of Crowley; one sister, Verna L. Simon of Crowley; one brother, Joseph Prejean of Crowley; fourteen grandchildren and thirty three great-grandchildren.
Ms. Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, Darcy F. Robinson; two son, Steven Robinson and Jeffery Robinson; her parents, Nasta and Estella D. Prejean; two sister, Yolande Kibodeaux and Dorothy Perry; two brothers, Forest “Neg” Prejean and Lester “Black” Prejean.
The family would like to extend a heart filled thanks to the Staff at Encore for the loving care that they have given to our mother. The nurse’s and aides for compassion they have shown to mother and our family. To Heart of Hospice for all that ya’ll have done for our mother. Ya’ll are a God send. Special Thanks to my dear friend, Freda who was mother’s aide from Heart of Hospice.
