Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Beulah “Brun” Meche, 89, who passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 10:02 a.m. at her daughter’s home.
Fr. Kendal Faulk, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie and husband, JB Broussard of Rayne; three sons, Dale and Linda Meche of Rayne, Robert and Annette Meche of Cankton and Pat and Judy Meche of Indian Bayou; one brother, Austin Trahan of Scott; one sister, Mable Brasseaux of Vatican; fouteen grandchildren, Ronnie, Stacie, Shannon, Nicole, Myke, Tera, Erica, Kasie, Robert, II, Robi, Leah, Chelsi, Judd, and Trevor; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Cole, Britni, Chase, Hannah, Hailey, Harley, Hunter, Haven, Trace, Toye, Tyler, Stephanie, Ethan, Sheyenne, Christopher, Gavin, Tanner, Charlie, Sabastian , Zoey, and Robert, III, Adalyn, Ava and Cole; two great-great-grandchildren, Addison and Dakota Jess.
Ms. Beulah was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Duplantis; one grandson, Jess Meche; the father of her children, Doris Meche; her parents, Alexis and Armance F. Trahan; her twin sister, Eula Guilbeau, one sister, Alma Jean Gaspard and one brother, Rodney Trahan.
