Obituary for
John Tommy "Nobody" Guidry Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for John T. “Nobody” Guidry, Sr., 54, who passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 1:25 p.m. at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas.
Fr. Henry Davis, Pastor of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services all at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Guidry of Church Point; three daughters, Lakonya, and husband, Nathaniel Savoy of Church Point; Lakisha Guidry of Eunice and Taijarae Guidry of Church Point; three sons, John Tommy Guidry, Jr. and Kentoysa Alexandria of Church Point, John Timothy Dwayne, and wife, Sharone Guidry of Church Point and Curtis Elridge Guidry and Lakaisha Alexandria of Lafayette; five sisters, Veronica Guidry of Lake Charles, Dorothy and husband, Robert Gobert of Church Point, Gloria and husband, Donald, Woods, Sr. of Crowley; Linda and husband, Randy Young, Sr. of Branch, Evelena and husband, Jerry Arceneaux of Church Point; two brothers, Elridge and wife, Joyce Guidry, Jr. of Church Point and Allen and Chrystal Guidry of Lafayette; twenty grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Elridge and Agatha Guidry, Sr.; one brother, Paul Terry Guidry; his father-in-law, Joseph Curtis Guidry and his mother-in-law, Alice C. Guidry; one brother-in-law, Vincent Dale Gibson, Sr.
