A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Estherwood, La. for Barbara L. Myers, 68 who passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:10 p.m. at AMG Specialty Hospital Park Place Campus in Lafayette.
Fr. Randall Moreau, Pastor of St. Margaret Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include her husband of forty nine years, Robert L. Myers of Estherwood; five sisters, Betty and husband, Joe Vela of Egan, Lorena and husband, Donald Davy of Crowley, Lou Anna and husband, Donald Faulk of Port Arthur, TX., Eva and husband, Michael Broussard of Church Point and Sue Ellen and husband, Harry Romero of Estherwood; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Troy Allen Myers; her parents, Huak and Mary Enola Leger; two nephews, Eric Paul Davy and Mark Allen Vela.
Barbara was a very kind, loving and giving person. She will be missed by all who knew her.
