Obituary for
Maria Concepcion Rayo Serrano
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley, La. for Maria C. Rayo Serrano, 19, who passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, La.
Fr. Cipriano, from St. Jules Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
Maria was a native of Mexico and now living in Crowley, La. She attended Crowley High School and was a Senior and was planning to graduate this May.
The family has requested visitation to be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services.
Survivors include her mother and step father, Hugolina Serrano and Alveriano Villarreal of Crowley; one brother, Jesus Rayo Serrano; her maternal grandmother, Felipa Baltazar; several aunts and uncles.
Maria was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Rayo; her paternal grandparents, Antonio Rayo and Virginia Carreῆo and her maternal grandfather, Ignacio Serrano.
