Obituary for
Albert Leger
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley for Albert M. Leger, 66, who passed away at his home in Crowley surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 9:47 A.M.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham, Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Leger Cemetery in Rayne, LA.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Duhon Funeral Home in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Pat T. Leger of Crowley; two grandsons, Keenon and wife, Jenna (grand-daughter) Leger of Indian Bayou and Kade Michel Figard of Crowley; one grand-daughter, Aliyah Leger of Crowley; his two great-grandson, Kajen and Kasen Leger; his daughter-in-laws, Marcell Hebert of Crowley and Rachel Figard of Crowley; his brother-in-law, Douglas and wife, Linda of Roberts Cove; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Terro Thibodeaux of Indian Bayou; his pets, Lobo, Susie, Bo, Sassy and Nitro.
Mr. Albert was preceded in death by one son, Shane Leger; his parents, Thomas and Thelma Benoit Leger; one brother, Johnny Michael Leger; three brother-in-laws, Darrel Terro, Eugene Terro and Junuis and wife, Judy Comeaux.
Mr. Leger was a loving husband, outstanding grandfather, and extraordinary great-grandfather. He loved spoiling his grand and great-grandchildren. He would do anything for anyone in need.
Pallbearers for the services will be JP Leger, Benji Terro, Rocky Robinson, Mark Hebert, Jenna Leger and Bryson LeBlanc.
Honorary Pallbearers for the services will be Keenon Leger, Kade Figard and Douglas Terro.
