Obituary for
Margaret Matte
Churchpoint- A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Margaret Matte, 63, with The Very Rev. Msgr. Douglas DeBlanc as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at Duhon Funeral Home, LLC of Church Point, LA on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 beginning at 9:00AM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 1:00PM and will continue until just prior to service time. Interment will follow the Mass and will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery "New". Mrs. Matte passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her sister’s residence in Church Point, LA.
Margaret is survived by one son, Timothy Carriere and his wife, Teresa of Blue Springs, MO; one daughter, Renee Leger and her husband, James “Tony” Leger of Church Point, LA; three grandchildren, Christopher, Blake and Emily Carriere all of Blue Springs, MO; two brothers, Douglas Guillory of Church Point, LA and Donald “Joe” Guillory and his wife, Eva of Church Point, LA and one sister, Carla Olivier of Church Point, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Joycelyn Guillory; one brother, Austin Guillory, Jr. and a godchild, Brandon Guillory.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in Margaret’s memory TO HER FAMILY to assist with the funeral expenses.
