Obituary for
Martin Lee LaDay Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for Martin L. LaDay, 77, who passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Church Point on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
Fr. Joseph McKinley, SSJ, substitute at of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services all at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret LaDay of Church Point; six daughters, Sonia LaDay of Carencro, Antonia LaDay of Lafayette, Bridget LaDay of Mountainhouse, CA, Marva LaDay of San Diego, CA, Sharon Green of Houston, TX and Gail Bonhomme of Breaux Bridge; one son, Martin Lee LaDay, Jr. of Church Point; two sister, Margorie Nell Broussard of Church Point and Margorie Lee Meche of Church Point; three brothers, Bert LaDay of Church Point, Joseph LaDay of Opelousas and Aaron LaDay of Sacramento, CA; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Landry; and one greagrandson and his parents, Leon and Viola D. LaDay, Jr.
