Church Point- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mathilda Guillory, 94, at 1:00PM on Saturday November 14, 2015 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet, LA with Rev. Borgia Aubespin as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church from 8:30AM until just prior to service time. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 11:00AM. Interment will follow the church service and will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Mallet, LA. Mrs. Guillory passed away on Thursday November 12, 2015 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, LA.
Mrs. Guillory is survived by one son, Cleveland Guillory and wife, Rose of Church Point, LA; four grandchildren, Antonio “Tony” Guillory and wife, Lori of Church Point, LA, Randal Guillory and wife, Melisa of Church Point, LA, Consuela Guillory and companion Kenny Edwards of Kemah, TX and Angelle Guidry and husband, Joseph of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Octavia Guillory of Church Point, LA and Bertina Guillory of Houston, TX; two sisters-in-law, Sis Guillory of San Francisco, CA and Rose Guillory of Church Point, LA; daughter-in-law Leona Guillory Johnson of Church Point, LA; grandson-in-law Michael Connors of Glendale, AZ; great-grandchildren, Andrew Guillory Sojourner of Dallas, TX, Kameron Connors and Ka’Leb Connors of Glendale, AZ and Jaden Guidry of Opelousas, LA; step-grandsons Bralyn Bellard of Church Point, LA and Ardonious and Joseph Connors of Glendale, AZ ;step-great-great grandson Anthony Kage Bellard and one “on the way”; godchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Guillory; parents, Sydney Guillory and Avia Papillion Guillory; sons, Gaston Guillory, Dinahray Guillory; daughter, Patricia Guillory; grandchildren, Peter Chretien and Catherine Guillory; brothers, Freddie Guillory, Anderson Guillory and Melson Guillory, sisters, Lorena Thierry and Celestine Papillion.
Pallbearers will be Antonio Guillory, Randal Guillory, Joseph Guidry, Richard Gobert, Kameron Connors and Myron Guillory. Honorary pallbearers will be Ka’Leb Connors and Jaden Guidry.
