Crowley- A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated for Lucy W. Murray, 92, at 2:00PM on Saturday November 28, 2015 at Duhon Funeral Home-Chapel Crowley with Rev. Clint Trahan officiating. Visitation will begin Friday, November 27, 2015 at 2:00PM until 8:00PM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00PM and will resume on Saturday at 10:00AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the service and will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Murray passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 12:55 AM.
Mrs. Murray is survived by her son, Johnny Murray and his wife, Pat of Breaux Bridge, LA; son-in-law, Carroll LeBlanc of Orange, TX;grandchildren, Kim LeBlanc Gonzales and her husband, Joseph of Orange, TX, Teri Murray Thibodeaux and her husband, David of Carrollton, TX, Chris LeBlanc and his wife, Heather of Baton Rouge, LA, Ann Murray Ortego of Cary, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Gonzalez, Sarah Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Jonathon Thibodeaux, Bailey Thibodeaux, Logan LeBlanc, Megan LeBlanc and Brendan Ortego.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Murray; parents, Avery Watkins and Mary Romero Watkins; daughter, Genny LeBlanc as well as two brothers, Sidney Watkins and Ogden Watkins.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Hospice of Acadiana and Southwind Health Care and Rehabilitation for the care given to Mrs. Murray.
