Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Roland J. Stelly, 57 who passed away on Monday, February 08, 2016 at 11:25 A.M. at his home in Rayne.
Deacon Tommy Adams, from St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery in Mire.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Allyson and husband, Todd Allen of Mire and Susan and husband, Cody Lopez of Mire; three grandchildren, D.J. Stelly, Jenyth Allen and Kaylie Lopez; one sister, Patricia and husband, Geoffrey Richard of Mire; four nephews, Shannon, Ronnie, Kerry and Jake Richard all of Mire; two Godchildren, Shannon Richard and Shelby St. Germain both of Mire.
Mr. Roland worked many years as a truck driver for G & H Seed Company of Crowley. He was a retired Fireman of the Mire Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stelly; his parents, John and Theresa Stelly and one brother, Ronald J. Stelly.
