Johnny Hanks
Rayne- Funeral services will be held for Johnny Hanks, 77, at 10:00AM on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Robert’s Cove Church of Christ with Minister Jason Corder officiating. The family has requested that visitation be held at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel-Crowley on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM and will resume on Friday at 8:00AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Kie Hebert Cemetery in Robert’s Cove. Mr. Hanks passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at The Carpenter House-St. Joseph Hospice of Lafayette, LA.
Mr. Hanks is survived by his loving wife of 55 ½ years, Olivia Marie Hanks of Robert’s Cove, LA; children, Edmund Hanks and his wife, Polly of Robert’s Cove, LA, Kurt Hanks and his wife, Stacie of Crowley, LA, Jeffery Hanks and his wife, Melissa of Beaumont, TX., Thomas Hanks and his wife, Natalie of Robert’s Cove, LA and Tammy Hanks of Robert’s Cove, LA; grandchildren, Dustin Hanks, Garret Hanks, Taylor Hanks, Gabie Hanks, Dani Hanks, Emily Hanks; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret James, Hazel Schexnider; brothers, Horace Hanks and Autry Hanks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Adelia Hanks; brothers, Freddie Hanks, Clifton Hanks, Ramsey Hanks and one sister, Beulah Romero.
Pallbearers will be Garret Hanks, Taylor Hanks, Ridge Hanks, Tyler Hanks, Justin Monk and Kevin Hanks.
