Obituary for
Leroy Cahanin
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Leroy Cahanin, 82, who passed away at his home in Rayne on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
Deacon Tommy Adams, from St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivor include his wife of fifty nine years, Annie Mae H. Cahanin of Rayne; three daughters, Debra and husband, Bobby Thompson of Rayne, Jo Ann Cahanin of Crowley and Nelda and husband, Steve Guidry of Rayne; one son, Malcolm and wife, Kathy Cahanin of Duson; two sisters, Shirley Perrodin of Lafayette and Clara Daigle of Rayne; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren and two step great great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cahanin was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jeremy Michael Hebert and Casey Cahanin; his parents, Gustave and Rose S. Cahanin.
