Mozart "Sweetie"  Broussard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Estherwood for Mozart “Sweetie” Broussard, 79, who passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at his home in Estherwood.
Fr. Randy Morreau, Pastor of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Estherwood will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6:30 P.M. in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include one son, Wesley Broussard of Estherwood; one daughter, Yvette Broussard of Crowley; one brother, Michael Broussard of Church Point; one granddaughter, Bethany Broussard of Houma; one step daughter, Kimberly LeBlanc of Sulphur; two stepsons, Ray Morvant of Jennings and Norbert Morvant of Little Chenier; one step grandson, Devon Morvant of Lake Charles, and one step great-grandson, Sebastian Morvant of Big Lake.
Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Menard Broussard; his second wife, Audrey LeBlanc Broussard; his parents, Dallas and Vivian Istre Broussard; one granddaughter, Donna Lynn Broussard and one step grandson, Jody “L.J.” Seaux; one brother, Edwin Broussard.
Mr. Broussard served 9 years in the National Guard and 32 years on the Railroad as a welder.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Lafayette General Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Heart Hospital of Lafayette, Southwind Nursing Home in Crowley, his Doctor, Dr. Prasad and Dr. Saini and Mrs. Gretchen also, Professional Home Health.
