Our Beloved Bea Bourque-there is no other. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was special to her. She came from a large family and had a deep love for her siblings. She especially loved cooking and worked many years at St. Genevieve and STM in the cafeteria. She loved telling jokes but usually forgot the punch lines. She also liked to go to the casino and was always a “winner”. Bea was very proud of her Cajun heritage and loved speaking Cajun French and teaching it to those who couldn’t speak it. She certainly relished the “Joie de Vivre” especially during football season. She loved cheering on the Saints, UL and local high school teams. Bea was a kind and generous person with a Can-Do attitude. Family would like to send a heartfelt Thank You, to all who took care of their mother in the past years. Dr. Hector Robles, Dr. Vernon Valentino, Dr. Bailey, Dr. Frank Culotta, Dr. Saini Satinder, especially Nurse Practioner, Gretchen. A special thank you to the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Heart Hospital. Thanks to the entire Encore staff that gave exceptional care of our mother, “Queen Bea”. May her spirit live in all of us always.
