Obituary for
John Kaywood Thibodeaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:30 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for John Kaywood Thibodeaux, 68 who passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2:55 A.M. at the Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock in the evening on Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of forty three years, Peggy W. Thibodeaux of Church Point; two daughters, Melinda and husband, James Stelly of Lawtell and Piper Thibodeaux and Johnny Moran of Baton Rouge; one son, Jonathan Thibodeaux of Seattle, WA; three brothers, Tom and wife, Maxine Thibodeaux of Church Point, Bob and wife, Dot Thibodeaux of Church Point and Glenn Thibodeaux of Church Point; seven grandchildren, Scotty Lopez, Cody Lopez, Claudia Stelly, Hannah Stelly, James Stelly, Jr., Pershing Stelly, and Angeline Stelly; one great-grand daughter, Leah Sanchez.
Mr. Thibodeaux is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Anne Belle O. Thibodeaux; one sister, Barbara Cary; two brothers, Kirney Thibodeaux and Carroll Thibodeaux.
