Obituary for
Harry Louis Babineaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Lawtell for Harry L. Babineaux, 88, who passed away at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home on January 16, 2017 at 6:50 A.M. in Church Point.
Fr. Austin Leger will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:00 A. M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen and husband, Raymond Lanclos of Opelousas, Ivy Soileau of Lawtell; three sons, Jimmy Babineaux of Amelia, LA, Daniel Ray and wife, Linda Babineaux of Lawtell and Cary Babineaux of Lawtell; eight grandchildren, Andrea Falcon, Robbie Soileau, Melissa Miller, Dru Babineaux, Nicole Robinson, Jared Babineaux and Caleb Babineaux and Danielle Rae Bertrand; fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Lynn Soileau of Prairie Ronde.
Mr. Babineaux was preceded in death by his wife, Hassa Babineaux; his parents, Sidney and Framence S. Babineaux; one sister, Carrie Fall.
