Scott- Funeral Services will be held for Aaron Venable, 95, at 12:00 PM on September 18, 2017 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, LA with Deacon Byrne Winn officiating. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home-Rayne Chapel on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM and will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until just prior to the service time. Interment will follow the church service and will be at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery. Mr. Venable passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
Mr. Venable was a native of Bristol, LA; was a farmer and had a love for Cajun French Music and playing his violin.
He is survived by his children, Sherleen Mouton of Mire, LA, Jeff Venable and his wife, Patti of Scott, LA, Bryan Alleman of Rayne, LA; daughter-in-law, Eva Venable of Scott, LA; grandchildren, Rachel Touchet, Brian Venable, Dawn Owens, Michelle Fontenot, Michael Venable, Kathy Mouton, Keresa Bonin and Kreseda Mouton; great-grandchildren, Kyle Touchet, Mallary , Ally and Emily Venable, Morgan and Manning Fontenot, Kameryn and Jillian Bonin and Eva Venable, and one sister, Agnes Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Cormier Venable; son, Cleary Venable; son-in-law, Tony Mouton; grandchildren, Kristian and Kameron Mouton; parents, Louis Venable and Lapal Lavergne Venable; siblings, Wesley Venable, Geston Venable, Easton Venable, Rena Venable Faul, Ann Venable Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Venable, Jason Bonin, Ferall Venable, Michael Venable, Bryan Alleman and Keith Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Touchet, Manning Fontenot and Max Fontenot.
