A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Dylan P. Mire, 34, who passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 7:50 A.M. at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Père Rozas, Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery in Richard.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. and another Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Anna and Rod Leleaux of Church Point; his father and step mother, Pat and wife, Rebecca Mire of Lafayette; three brothers, Derrick Mire of Texas, Patrick Richard and wife, Tammy of Church Point, Dustin Mire of Church Point; two sisters, Penny and husband, Barry Levie of Church Point, Julie Richard of Church Point; three nieces, Ali, Taylor, and Maddie; three nephews, Josh, Jude and Tyler; one great-niece, Lillian; one great-nephew, Thomas; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dylan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elvin and Mary Alice Richard; his paternal grandparents, Felix and Bernice Mire; three uncles, Gene and Dean Richard, Hillary Mire; one aunt, Charlene Richard.
Pallbearers for the service will be Patrick Richard, Josh Richard, Jude Richard, Tyler Richard, Barry Levie and Billy Leger.
