Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for William Ray Simon, 75, who passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:50 P.M. at the Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in Kie Hebert Cemetery in Roberts Cove.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife fifty eight years, Betty R. Simon of Roberts Cove; one son, Randy and wife, Annette Simon of Roberts Cove; one daughter, Mary Ann and husband, Cory Hebert of Coteau; two brothers, Donnie Simon of Carencro and Clarence “Cotton” Simon of Hemphill, TX; three sisters, Sally Richard of Roberts Cove, Glenda Leger of Roberts Cove, Brenda Wiggins of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Joshua Simon, Layla Simon, Hailey Hebert, and Holly Hebert; one great-granddaughter, Kylee-Ann Simon.
Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Altha Mae M. Simon.
