CHURCH POINT- Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for, Roberta “Bertha” V. Doucet, 78, of Arnaudville. Fr. Garrett Savoie, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the service.
Ms. Bertha passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at the J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville, La.
The family is requesting visitation to be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will continue Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church Old Cemetery in Church Point.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice and husband, Edward Durio, Jr. of Arnaudville; one grandson, Chad Edward Durio of Arnaudville; one sister, Roma Veronie of Mire.
Preceded in death with Ms. Roberta is her husband, Kermit Doucet; one grand-daughter, Ashley Durio; two sisters, Rita Romero and Ruby Hebert; one brother, Ernest “Bee” Venable; her parents, Steven and Hermina Venable; her step father, Cyphrien Burleigh.
