Obituary for
Rose Mae Charlotte
Church Point—A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Mae Charlotte, 56, of Church Point will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Church Point. Father Henry Davis will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Cemetery #2, Church Point.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 7:30 A.M. until service time in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Church Point, with a rosary being recited at 9:15 A.M. in the church.
Ms. Charlotte passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10:48 A.M. in an Opelousas health care facility.
A lifelong resident of Church Point, Ms. Charlotte was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and she loved all children. Ms. Charlotte lived life to the fullest, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish Ms. Charlotte’s memory are her sisters, Mary G. Richard and husband, Leroy of Opelousas, Mary Ann Charlotte of Church Point, and Leatrice Marie Hale and husband, Steven of San Diego, CA; brothers, Joseph “Big Joe” Charlotte and wife, Sharon of Church Point, and Larry James Charlotte of Church Point; Godchild, Rachael Charlotte of Carencro; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Ms. Charlotte in death were her parents, Leo Charlot and Leverda Landry Charlot; brother, Wallace Charlotte; and longtime companion, Michael “Dog” Guidry.
