Obituary for
Vinson Martin Credeur
Rayne- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA for Vinson Credeur, 79, who passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:10 p.m. at his home.Fr. Sam Fontana will be officiating for the service and Deacon Tommy Adams, his son-in-law, will be assisting Fr. Sam. Entombment will follow the church service in St. Joseph # 2 Catholic Cemetery in Rayne, LA.
The family is requesting the visitation be held on Monday, February 23, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited by his son-in-law, Deacon Adams, at 6:00 in the evening in the funeral home chapel.
Vinson is survived by his three daughters, Peggy and husband, Deacon Tommy Adams of Rayne, LA, Tammy and her husband, Patrick Hardin, of St. Augustine, FL, and Becky and husband, Mike Romero of Youngsville, LA; one son, Dale and his wife Loura Credeur of Rayne, LA; two brothers, Clinton Credeur of Carencro, LA and Russell Credeur of Rayne, LA; two sisters, Mary Jane Gilbert of Rayne, LA and Marnelle Credeur of Lafayette, LA; eight grandchildren, Deidre Clement, Thomas Adams, II, Trey Credeur, Kyle Credeur, Nikolaus Hardin, Jason Hardin, Vince Romero, and Peyton Romero and six great-grandchildren Amya Clement, Landon Clement, Annzly Clement, Thomas Adams, III, Noah Adams, and Adeline Adams with another baby Clement on the way.
Mr. Vinson was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Rita M. Credeur, and his parents, Isaac and Helena Credeur.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Adams, II, Trey Credeur, Kyle Credeur, Jason Hardin, Nikolaus Hardin and Vince Romero.
The family would like to thank Gwen Guidry and Leona Quebodeaux for their care over the past six months of our father.
