Elia Marie Roy (Istre)
Funeral Services will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. for Elia I. Roy, 68, who passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:09 A.M. at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Fr. Randy Morreau, Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery in Mermentau, La.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. till time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Roy of Estherwood; two sons, Wayne Roy of Church Point and Louis “Bud” Roy, Jr. Crowley; four daughters, Patricia Istre of Estherwood, Katherine Istre of Crowley, Brenda Hebert of Crowley and Sheila Jeffers of Lafayette; several brothers, one sister; twenty five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Ms. Elia was preceded in death by her parents, William, Sr. and Amy B. Istre; one brother, George Istre.
