Dorothy Henry (Lavergne)
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Dorothy Henry, 63, who passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 4:20 P.M. at Lafayette General Southwest Hospital in Lafayette.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Henry of Church Point; one daughter, Dana Henry and partner, Dean Talley of St. Martinville; one son, Dameian and wife, Dawn Henry of Sunset; three sisters, Dolores and Kermit Elkins of Church Point, Charlene and Demmitte Miller of Church Point and Cindy and husband, John Broussard of Maurice; two brothers, Patrick and wife, Jewel Lavergne of Sunset and Kenneth Lavergne of Sunset; three grandchildren, Halie, Quentin and Trae Henry all of Sunset.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Rita D. Lavergne; one sister, Judy Lavergne; one brother, Lawrence Lavergne; one sister-in-law, Cheryl Lavergne.
