Obituary for
Joseph Ronald Lavergne
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg for, Ronald Lavergne, 73 of Church Point who passed away on Saturday, November 05, 2016 at Acadia St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.
Msgr. Jeff DeBlanc, Pastor of St. John’s Catholic Chapel will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. John’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Lewisburg, La.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 8:30 A.M. until time of services at the St. John’s Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg.
Survivors include his companion, Wanda Duval of Lewisburg; three sons, John Eric and wife, Tina Marie Boudreaux Lavergne of Church Point, Damian Lavergne and Nicole Deville of Broussard and Brent and wife, Brittany Bonnette Lavergne of Church Point; five sisters, Ethel and husband, Darold Thibodeaux of Opelousas, Rose Gros of Fordoche, Mildred Louvierre of Conroe, Tx, Theresa Lavergne of Nuba and Verna and husband, Drew Andrus, of Mississippi; four brothers, Ray and wife, Ann Lavergne of Ville Platte, Paul and wife, Brenda Lavergne of Opelousas, Eugene and Sybil Lavergne of Sunset and Leo and wife, Mary Lavergne of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Erica, Dayna, Jesse, Bailey and Connor; two great-grandchildren, Jayvon and Brooklyn.
Mr. Lavergne was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Rivers and Mary Verna Mae T. Lavergne; one sister, Ella Mae Lavergne.
