Joseph Willis Duplechain
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point for Joseph W. Duplechain, 79 who passed away at his home in Church Point on Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at 2:05 A.M.
Rev. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ, Pastor of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church New Cemetery.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 7:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited at 9 o’clock on Saturday in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point.
Survivors include four sons, Clifton and wife, Rachelle Bellard of Crowley, Barry and wife, Virginia Bellard of Church Point, Junius Bellard of Crowley and John and wife, Brenda Bellard of Gibson; two daughters, Lonza and husband, Wardell Reed of Crowley and Mary Price of Crowley; two brothers, Austin Guidry of Church Point and Joseph Charlot of Houston, TX.; one sister, Elsie Searcy of New Orleans; twenty six grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Duplechain was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bellard; three sons, Joseph, Gilbert and Albert Bellard; his mother, Pearly Leger; two brothers, Junius Meche and Linclon Charlot, Sr.; two sisters, Dora Charlot and Sylvia Leger; one daughter-in-law, Betty Bellard; one grandson, Cason Bellard.
