Felton James  Bellard Sr.
Church Point—A Mass of Christian Burial for Felton James Bellard, Sr., 61, of Church Point will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Church Point. Father Henry Davis will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Cemetery #2, Church Point.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 8:00 A.M. until service time in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Church Point. A rosary will be recited Saturday at 10:30 A.M. in the church.

Mr. Bellard passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 4:20 P.M. in his Church Point residence.

Survivors include his wife, Carol C. Bellard of Church Point; daughters, Lynette Parson and husband, John of Virginia, and Crystal Chevalier and husband, Mike of Carencro; sons, Felton James Bellard, Jr. and wife, Donna of Carencro, and Patrick Guidry, Jr. and wife, Sofie of Church Point; sisters, Mary Bellard of Church Point, Joyce Bellard of Rayne, Mary Ann Charlot of Church Point, Barbara Woods and husband, Kent of Lake Charles, and Tammy Bellard of Lake Charles; brothers, Joseph Allen Bellard and wife, Maxine of Lawtell, and Francis Lee Bellard of Opelousas; grandchildren, Aaron Parson, Brandon Parson, Jay Guidry, Dearise Guidry, Drylyn Guidry, Javon Bellard, Davon Bellard, and Jaela D’Ann Bellard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding Mr. Bellard in death were his parents, Horace and Maxine Pitre Bellard.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all who provided compassionate care to Mr. Bellard throughout his illness, including Dr. Michael Felton and staff, the staff of Acadia-St. Landry Hospital, the staff of Opelousas General Hospital, the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, the staff of Doctors’ Hospital, Dr. Cole, Dr. Krabcheck, Family Choice Care Hospice, and his homecare sitter, Miss Ned.
